The Frenchman scored a mere 34 seconds after his introduction from the bench, as the hosts moved to the top of La Liga prior to Barcelona's clash with Real Betis Antoine Griezmann  came off the bench to give  Atletico Madrid  a narrow 1-0 victory over  Rayo Vallecano  in La Liga on Saturday. Real had beaten Real Sociedad 1-0 earlier on Saturday, but Atletico remain a point ahead of their local rivals after the Frenchman's decisive strike. Manager Diego Simeone was absent from the touchline after receiving a ban for his part in the throwing of a ball to disrupt a Malaga attack last weekend, and seven changes from their midweek Champions League win over Bayern Munich resulted in a disorganised first-half showing.
