Match abandoned after 5 red card from the same team

A REFEREE was left with no choice but to abandon a Sunday League Football match after FIVE players from the same team were sent off.

The Northern Senior Division One match between FC Barometrics and Sharpness came to a half in the 71st minute after dismissals for dissent, foul play and aggression with the scores tied at 3-3.

Barometrics had been cruising to victory after taking a three-goal lead inside 25 minutes when Jamie Hammond was the first to be given his marching orders for a second caution by official Anthony Smee.
