Mikel talk of every social media

The midfielder sent social media into meltdown for the second time this season by having a tumultuous few minutes in his side's Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain.

John Obi Mikel enjoyed a first half to forget and then remember again in Chelsea's Champions League last-16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain. In a tumultuous seven minutes of the match at Parc des Princes, the Nigeria international was booked for a foul outside the box and then deflected the resulting free kick past Thibaut Courtois for PSG's opening goal.

However, on the stroke of half-time, the 28-year-old went from villain to hero when a corner dropped well for him and he was able to poke past Kevin Trapp to secure the equaliser for Guus Hiddink's men.

Social media went into meltdown in praise of the midfielder and not for the first time this season - 'Mikel Mania' swept the internet just a few months ago during his dominant display against Crystal Palace.

And again, he has won the hearts of millions across the continent with his latest exploits

Zidane praise Ronaldo for his display against Bilbao

The French coach moved the Portuguese attacker from the centre to the flank for Saturday's match against Athletic and feels the change worked well as they went on to win 4-2.
